Streem’s Commitment to Your Privacy
The Streem Group of companies (“Streem, we, us and our”) respect your privacy. Streem operates a media intelligence platform available on desktop, tablet, and mobile (“Streem Platform”) and our website located at https://www.streem.com.au (“Website”). This Privacy Policy explains our approach to dealing with your Personal Information. We set out how we collect, hold, manage and use Personal Information, including when you visit or interact with the Streem Platform and our Website.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a new version on our Website and it will be binding on you and us from the date it is posted on our Website. This Privacy Policy applies to all Personal Information we hold.
Definitions
“Personal Information” under the Privacy Act is defined to mean information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion.
“Privacy Act” means the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) including the Australian Privacy Principles in Schedule 1 of that Act.
“Sensitive Information” under the Privacy Act is defined to mean: information or an opinion about an individual’s: racial or ethnic origin; or political opinions; or membership of a political association; or religious beliefs or affiliations; or philosophical beliefs; or membership of a professional or trade association; or membership of a trade union; or sexual orientation or practices; or criminal record; that is also Personal Information; or health information about an individual; or genetic information about an individual that is not otherwise health information; or biometric information that is to be used for the purpose of automated biometric verification or biometric identification; or biometric templates.

By continuing to use our Website or Streem Platform, and accessing our goods and services, allowing us to perform or provide services for you, or providing us with your Personal Information, you give us consent to collect, hold, use, transfer and process your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy to the extent that it is lawful to give us consent in this way.

Why do we collect Personal Information?
We collect and hold Personal Information that is reasonably necessary for the services we provide.
How do we collect Personal Information?
We will generally collect Personal information from you:
- when you, or people authorised by you, enter in contractual arrangements for services with Streem;
- directly through your use of our Website or Streem Platform, including when you, or people authorised by you, visit, access or use other services provided on our Website or Streem Platform;
- through communications with you including email or written communication with you, telephone calls, and via social media applications;
- in the course of providing our goods and services to you;
- in the course of our business functions and activities; and/or
- when you visit and/or post a comment or other communication on a Streem branded social media page.
We will collect Personal information from you directly unless you have consented to collection of your personal information from a third party, where it is unreasonable or impractical to make a direct collection and is reasonably necessary for our business activities, and/or where Streem is required or authorised by law to collect your information from a third party.
We use information-gathering tools, including tools for collecting usage data, cookies and web beacons to automatically collect information that may contain Personal Information from computers and mobile devices used to navigate the Website, Streem Platform, Streem services or to interact with emails sent by Streem.
If you elect not to provide us with Personal Information then we may not be able to provide you with the information, products, services or support that you may want.
What form of Personal Information do we collect?
We may collect and hold the following types of Personal Information:

- your job title/position with a company of which you are employed;
- your contact details;
- your phone number;
- your email address;
- payment details;
- information about the goods and services we provide or have provided to you;

We do not generally collect Sensitive Information about you unless required by lawful order of a government authority.
Security of your Personal Information
Streem is committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. Your Personal Information is stored on computer systems that are primarily located in Sydney, Australia and operated by Google Cloud Services (GCS) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). When Streem transmits highly confidential information over the internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. All Personal Information provided to us will be held for so long as we reasonably require to deliver services to you, or your employer, or as otherwise required for regulatory or other legal purposes. Access to and use of Personal Information within the Streem Group is appropriately limited to prevent misuse or unlawful disclosure of the information. If other organisations provide support services, we require them to appropriately safeguard the privacy of the information provided to them.
How we use your Personal Information
We collect, use and disclose Personal Information for purposes associated with conducting our business activities and functions, providing the goods and services you requested, marketing and promotional efforts and to improve our content and service offerings, including:
- facilitating transactions between you and us;
- processing your payment for goods and services;
- monitoring the use of our Website and Streem Platform;
- improving the quality of our Website and Streem Platform and related services;
- administrative purposes;
- allowing technical support personnel to provide assistance to you (or your employer);

If you have given us your express consent to:

Disclosure
We may need to provide your Personal Information to third parties who we engage to assist us to provide goods and services to you, such as:

Use of Social Media
Our Website, the Streem Platform and related services use social media including blogs, Twitter feeds, and links to other social media, including Facebook, Linked In, Twitter etc. The nature of social media is that these applications actively enable exchange and disclosure of any information, whether personal or otherwise, that is included within those applications. All information, including Personal Information that you enter in those applications may be used, hold, handled and disclosed in any way that is consistent with the privacy policies of the relevant applications, if any. All information that is posted by you in a blog, twitter feed or other social media in connection with the Website or Streem Platform should be considered as public information that may be used, copied and adapted by any person for any means and should not be posted unless you are prepared to specifically state what restrictions on use there may be with that information or are prepared to accept that it may be used, copied, adapted, hold, handled and disclosed to any other person in any way. We accept no responsibility or liability for any Personal Information that you decide to publish on any social media outlet.
Cookies and Data Activity
Streem may use cookies and similar technologies to help personalise your Website experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a webpage server. Cookies are assigned to and can identify you uniquely. A cookie can only be read by a web server that issued you the cookie.
Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Their primary use is to provide a convenience by saving you time. For example, if you customise the platform based on your sign-in credentials, a cookie will help Streem remember you on your subsequent visits. When you next return to the Streem platform, the information you previously provided is retrieved so you can easily use the platform customised to your preferences. Sometimes information that you upload is provided with associated metadata. If you do not want us to use the metadata you must remove it before uploading it onto our Website, Streem Platform and other applications and tools.
We may collect data that is associated with your visit, including the pages you visit, the activities you do and the purchases you make etc. We may collect, use and disclose and store this information in any of the ways set out in this Privacy Policy.
Links to other Applications and Websites
Our Website or the Streem Platform may contain links to other applications, websites and tools that are not owned, controlled or operated by us. We are not responsible for the practices employed by applications linked to or from our Website, the Streem Platform or the information or content contained on them.

How to Request Deletion of your Personal Information
If you wish to request the deletion of your personal data, you can do so by contacting us directly. Please send your request via email to privacy@streem.com.au, including your full name and the email address associated with your account. Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity and process the deletion of your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Please note that certain information may be retained if required by law or for legitimate business purposes. We will notify you once your data has been successfully deleted.
